I don't believe that what you describe is possible. My room is difficult (room nodes and a seeming lack of boundary gain) but the CS18.2 seems to work very well.

Ok... but my room never shoed an ounce of low end gain. Maybe I have null after null after null. The room is not a solid shape, it has 2 alcoves and a large cut out protrusion for windows. Sealed but slightly misshapen

Where is your sub placed in the room? Along a wall, in a corner, etc.?

It was along a wall...sort of, a protrusion of a wall in front of a closed fireplace.

With ported subs I tried various corners but had very little experience with the sealed sub I had

I'd suggest that you get your sub into a corner to take advantage of boundary gain. You lose some of that with a mid-wall placement, which you have already noticed.

Give it a try and tell us how it goes.

My room as no really "solid" walls.

One wall is almost all window, one is about 1/3 to 1/2 covered by a large door, another is 1/3 covered by just a single later of woof and some light plaster and finally the other is an extruding fireplace with 2 recessed coves on each side.
